Last night I went to see the Ting Tings play their first show in D.C. at the 9:30 club. While they played amazingly well, it was the shortest show I have ever seen. The Ting Tings took the stage around 9:30 and played their final encore around 10:20. I know they only have one album but what happened to the live music experience where the band shows up drunk, kicks over an amp, punches a fan and gets hauled away by the police. Despite that one minor gripe, I would have to say that the Ting Tings have a good thing going. Lead singer Katie White looked and rocked out like a hotter more british Debbie Harry and Drummer/Guitarist/Producer Jules De Martino really killed it on the drums.
